Angela Eckhardt

Legal Assistant

Angela Eckhardt joined Hostetter Law Group in September 2020, bringing a background as varied as the cases she now helps manage. She graduated from Reed College in Portland with a degree in religious studies — which she then spent the next several years “balancing out” doing public policy research and analysis at a conservative think tank. From there she moved into journalism, writing for Capital Press, the Wallowa County Chieftain, and Western Free Press, before finding her place in law.

As Legal Assistant, Angela drafts court pleadings, gathers and reviews evidence, prepares exhibits for hearings and trials, issues subpoenas and writs of garnishment and assists the attorneys with case management across civil litigation, probate, personal injury, and family law matters. Her work keeps cases moving from the first filing through the final resolution.

Angela moved to Wallowa County in 2002 with her husband, drawn by the beauty of the place and the kind of life it offered for raising a family. They raised eight children here. She has never tired of the drive in to work — the vistas that unfold on the highway curves still stop her in her tracks. Her best time outside of work is spent at Wallowa Lake and along the Lostine River and Minam Canyon with her family.
